Privacy Policy

Neeuhra publishes the online training management platform Neeuhra LMS (hereinafter the "Platform"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share and protect your personal data when you use the Platform.

The processing of your personal data is governed by the following regulations:

• Cameroonian Law n° 2024/017 of 23 December 2024 on the protection of personal data, whose supervisory authority is the Personal Data Protection Agency (APDP);
• the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR - EU 2016/679) for users located in the European Union;
• any other local regulation applicable to our users.

3.1 Data you provide directly

• identification data: first name, last name, e-mail address, phone number, profile picture;
• account data: login, password (hashed), role, language, associated establishment;
• educational data: progress, quiz and exam results, certificates, audio recordings;
• billing data: information required to process payments and issue invoices.

3.2 Data collected automatically

• connection data: IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, timestamps;
• usage data: features used, time spent, interactions with the Platform;
• browsing data: cookies and trackers, in accordance with our Cookies Policy.

Your personal data is processed for the following purposes:

• providing and managing your account and subscription;
• providing the educational features (courses, quizzes, exercises, exams, certificates);
• tracking learners' progress and assessment;
• billing, payment processing and collection;
• user support and handling of requests;
• Platform security and prevention of fraud and abuse;
• producing anonymous usage statistics, within the limits of applicable regulations.

Our processing activities are based on the following legal grounds: performance of the contract, your consent where required, our legitimate interests, and compliance with our legal obligations.

With regard to audio recordings made as part of oral expression exercises, this data is processed on the basis of the performance of the educational service and, where required by regulation, on your explicit consent. These recordings are strictly limited to pronunciation assessment and are not retained beyond the necessary period.

Some features of the Platform (pronunciation assessment, exercise correction) rely on artificial intelligence models. Data submitted to such processing is used exclusively to produce the requested assessment.

Neeuhra guarantees that your data, in particular audio recordings, is never used to retrain or fine-tune AI models, nor transferred to third parties for that purpose. Automated processing is subject to human oversight where required by regulation.

Your personal data is intended for authorized persons within Neeuhra, as well as for technical sub-processors (hosting, payment, e-mail delivery, artificial intelligence, machine translation) acting on our behalf, strictly within the scope of their duties and under our responsibility.

A learner's educational data is also accessible to the Administrator and Teachers of the institute to which they belong, within the limits of their duties.

We never sell your personal data to third parties.

Some of our providers may be located outside your country of residence. In such cases, data transfers are governed by appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions, binding corporate rules) in accordance with applicable regulations.

Your data is retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes pursued, and in particular:

• account data: for the duration of your subscription, then archived for the applicable legal period;
• educational data: for the duration of your course on the Platform;
• audio recordings: for the time necessary for assessment, then deleted;
• billing data: for the statutory retention period for accounting records;
• connection data: 12 months maximum, unless a legal obligation requires otherwise.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data: encryption of data in transit and at rest, access control, logging, regular backups and staff awareness.

In accordance with applicable regulations, you have the following rights:

• the right of access to your personal data;
• the right to rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data;
• the right to erasure ("right to be forgotten"), within legal limits;
• the right to restrict processing;
• the right to data portability;
• the right to object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
• the right to withdraw your consent at any time, where processing is based on it.

To exercise these rights, contact us at support@neeuhra.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the APDP (Cameroon) or with your local supervisory authority.

The Platform is intended for use by training establishments. Where minor learners use the Platform, their legal representative (institute or parent) is responsible for the required consent. We do not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13 without the verifiable consent of their legal representative.

This Privacy Policy may be amended at any time. The version in force is always available on this page, together with its date of update.
